About us - Matuu

Hi! I’m Roksana — the heart of Matuu.

I live in the Netherlands, I’m a mom of two daughters, and… I’m deeply in love with children’s interiors and fabrics (really deeply — my fabric obsession once deserved its own room at home!).

So where does the name Matuu come from?

From the heart. And from the joy of a little child.  

When I was still in Poland, in the final weeks of a difficult pregnancy, and my husband was getting our new home in the Netherlands ready, our 1.5-year-old daughter would run to the door with a big, happy shout: “Mama! Tatuu is back!” That sound became a symbol of home, closeness and love for us. And that’s when our special journey began.

I left my career in finance and followed my passion — all in.

That’s how Matuu was born: a brand where my passions come together — the harmony of minimal design, romantic touches, the warmth of home, natural fabrics and gentle decorations for children’s interiors.

Today, Matuu is a calm, dreamy world of children’s interiors — a space where parents lovingly create rooms for their little ones.

• Wallpapers – printed locally in the Netherlands on safe, high-quality materials.
• Canopies, bedding, decorative cushions and other textile accessories – all handmade by me in my small home atelier.

*I don’t have warehouses or a sewing factory – every order is made by hand, just for you. With heart.

I also collaborate with illustrators, stylists and photographers to create collections that feel natural, delicate and timeless.

Matuu products are now part of homes all over the world — in children’s rooms filled with warmth and thoughtful details.
